Day Nine of Unbroken Prayers

When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

~ Jonah 2:7-8

Jonah is in the belly of a fish when he prays to God, “I know you have heard me. Anything else is lying vanities.” Jonah prayed and had faith that God heard him. He prayed unto God with confidence that He would deliver him from his situation. He prayed that God would hear his prayer, and anything short of deliverance is lying vanities.

Even in the lowest place, Jonah decided that he wouldn’t take on a critical spirit. Jonah decided that anything short of God being with him and for him was a lie. Jonah decided that God was going to turn his situation around and that He was going to work everything out for his good.

Get that in your spirit today. Pray with confidence and expectation today that God is with you and for you. He is with you in your marriage. He is with you in your workplace. He is with you in your mistakes. He is with you in your failures. He is with you, and anything else is the lying vanities in your life!

Today's Point of Prayer & Intercession:

Bind demonic spirits that are attacking your home

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. ~ Luke 10:19

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” ~ Luke 4:18-19

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ~ James 4:7

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” ~ Luke 10:17

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ~ Ephesians 6:10
