Verses

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. (Psalm 145:8-9) Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back. (Proverbs 29:11) Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret – it leads only to evil. (Psalm 37:8) In your anger, do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. (Ephesians 4:26) Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20

Declaration

Rather than losing control and hurting others, I can be angry in a proper manner. I will listen more, respond gently, and try to have meaningful conversations rather than shouting matches. Throughout all my relationships, I will pray for God’s guidance and peace.
